I. Concerning Content of Posts
Section One: Posting Rules and Regulations
Do not use your real name or give out any of your personal information. Please use a screen name. Names that are not screen names or any personal information that is shared will be censored and your profile changed.
“Posts” are defined as any created thread, response, poll, quiz, attachment, chat, etc. shared with members of the public and OneNation.
1. Posts will not contain material that is pornographic, graphically violent or sexually explicit.
Graphic violence includes, but is not exclusive to, detailed description of the nature of wounds and/or detailed description of gore and the nature of wounded internal organs.
Posts can mention wounds (such as, “The cut on my leg with beginning to burn” or “Blood dripped down my leg”) but they cannot include graphic detail.
Sexual material will not be tolerated. This includes scenes that include, suggest or describe sexual intercourse or sexual encounters. The posts containing such things will be deleted and their authors warned or banned, depending on the severity of the situation.
2. Cyberbullying (the act of harassing someone online), blackmail and threatening (including, but not exclusive to verbal or physical threats, whether meant in jest or not) will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
3. Posts will not contain vulgar slang, swear words (including, but not exclusive to, the “f-word,” the “b-word,” the “d-word” or the “s-word”) or sexually explicit slang or lyrics.
4. Those who see or read posts containing any of the previously stated disallowed topics have a duty to report such topics. Please contact a moderator through private message or report a member's post and do not address it yourself or bug the poster about it.
5. Players are required to write a minimum of five to seven sentences (not too hard, right?) in their responses and thread posts.
Section Two: Regulations Concerning Characters
I would like to apologize if the following regulations offend anybody but they are based upon my beliefs and the beliefs of my moderators. We are not going to discriminate those who possess the following qualities, but we will not tolerate them as characters in our roleplay.
These traits include, but are not exclusive to, sadism and/or cannibalism.
They will not be accepted into the roleplay by moderators or character checkers. Those who create them will be PMed about the breach in rules and their warning level will be altered by ten points, but an infraction of this kind will not (normally) count as an actual warning.
Character creation posts must include the following information:
-Name
-Gender
-Age/Birthdate
-Nationality (or Status in OnNa... Subterrean/Royale)
-Personality Section (With a minimum of three paragraphs of at least five to seven sentences each)
-Physical Appearance Section (With a minimum of three paragraphs of at least five to seven sentences each)
-History Section (With a minimum of two paragraphs of at least five to seven sentences each)
Characters posts should be titled in the following format:
Character’s Name [First “Nickname (if any)” Last], City Status
For example, I (Lithium) had a Royale character that is named Eugenia Tesler, but she is called Quinn. So, her character section is called…
Eugenia “Quinn” Tesler, Royale
Characters are judged based on their originality, if they follow all the regulations and meet the set standards. Failure on one part will result in a lack of passage into the accepted character’s page.
Moderators and Administrators are the only players allowed to accept characters unless you are a Character Checker Volunteer, which will be addressed later.
Moderators and Administrators reserve the right to alter the rules behind the accepting of characters.
II. Concerning Staff
I would like to apologize, but unless you know me (Lithium) in real life, you are not able to become a moderator or admin under any circumstances. That’s just the way the cookie bounces.
Mostly, this is because I am able to have conversations in real life with the people who help me run the show, which helps a whole bunch. It’s also because I am a paranoid ninny-brain. XD
But! We do have a place on staff for people who volunteer to help out with the character checking. Every week, we will need one or two (maximum of ten) character checkers. Volunteer by PMing Lithium who will make you a “Character Checker Volunteer,” hopefully, the Monday of the week you will serve.
Character Checker Volunteers are allowed to accept characters based on the guidelines listed in this rule sheet.
Requirements For Volunteering:
-They must go through a quiz the week before, showing that they understand the rules and guidelines, and must make at least a 70% on it to pass.
-They must have posted a minimum of fifty posts and have created at least two characters that have been accepted.
III. Concerning The Warning System
Our warning system is a three strike system, like many others. Our first warning for an infraction consists of a warning message and an addition of 25 points to your warning meter.
The second infraction will result in a warning message, an addition of 40 points to your warning level and then a suspension for no more than two weeks.
The final infraction will result in an automatic ban. No exceptions.
Cyberbullying of an intense nature, blackmail, spam mailing, and attempts to seek sexual favors over the internet THAT ARE REPORTED![/b] will result in an automatic ban no matter the circumstances. That kind of conduct will not be tolerated.
We cannot (and frankly would not) go through your private messages in order to determine if someone is threatening or seeking sexual favors from you. If someone is messaging you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, please notify a staff member immediately!
When a player is reported for the content of their private messages, they will not be notified until staff makes a decision. Please do not contact the person until after we have dealt with his/her offense.
The following is standard protocol concerning reported private messages:
1. A player reports a private message to a staff member through the private messaging system.
2. The staff member on duty will reply and request a screen shot of the offending message.
The screen shot of the message much include the entire message. This means, we must be able to see (in full) the sender's name, the recipient of the message's name, the subject, the date sent and the full message.[/u]
3a. If the message is found to be offensive, the sender will be notified and they will either be banned from the forum, or they will be warned, depending on the severity of the infraction.
b. If the player who reported the message cannot provide a screen shot of the offending message, the case will be closed, and we will continue monitor the person reported.
IV. Concerning the Advertisement of Other Roleplays or Games
Discussion boards for other games will be allowed as long as those games and the discussions of them do not violate the posting content rules.
But! Games and other roleplays not created by Lithium Roleplays will not be sponsored by our website, so please do not ask.
