The Streets, Day 2 (02-03-2317)

[Cytherea]

(Sorry, this is going to have to be rather short)
"His name is Will. He's a great guy, and you'll probably find him in his house by now. Just... be careful on that street. You were lucky when I ran into you today that she didn't come out. A different somebody on that street is... more than dangerous. Just stay away from the yellow house, okay?"

[Lithium]

Camri
Camri nodded. "It's dark already. We'd better be going. And Gage will need to escort you home. I don't want you hurt. It gets rough after 10, if you'll be out that late."

"Nope." Sol shook her head. "I should be back before then."

"All the same, I'd feel better if Gage escorted you."

Sol nodded. "All right then."

"We'd better get going."

"Try to get some rest," Sol instructed Sydny. "The more sleep you get, the faster you'll heal."

Camri waved good-bye to Sydny, grabbed her coat and opened the door, waiting for Sol to come. She came to the door, slipped on her boots, grabbed her coat, then started down the stairs to the ground floor.

Locking the apartment door, Camri quickly followed suit. "Wait up, sis!"

They made quick time to Gage's house, Camri quickly dropped her off and then proceeded to the street she had met Sydny on.

She avoided the yellow house completely, not even interested in seeing what kind of danger Sydny was talking about (For all I know, he could just be talking about an ex-girlfriend who now hates his guts.)

Instead, she found the green house. She stopped as she watched a young man open the door to it.

"Will?" she called out. "Hey! Are you Will?"

[Anwen]

Will, hoping to find that he had misread the signs, turned when he heard someone call his name. His eyes narrowed as he saw that blonde again.
What was she doing here? And how did she know his name?

"Yes, I'm William. Do you know where Sydny is? You know, the one who apologized to you after you ran into him? I saw signs of Coppers and I'm afraid--"
Will left his thought unfinished as he searched her face.

[Lithium]

Camri
Camri blushed as Will seached her face. Then, she hardened herself. "Sydny was injured pretty badly. I took him home so my sister could patch him up. He's stable now. He's got a lot of stitches and he needs to stay with us to monitor his condition. My sister thinks there's a risk of blood poisoning, in which case he'll need some penicillin. She can administer that herself."

She ran her fingers through her hair. "We just needed to let someone know where he was. Do you want to come see him?"

[Anwen]

The blonde ran her fingers through her messy, flaxen hair. "We just needed to let someone know where he was. Do you want to come see him?"

Will looked down at the ground. "Yes, of course. Where do you live?" He looked and made eye contact. "What exactly happened to him?" He said in a slightly strained, urgent voice.

[Lithium]

Camri
Will looked down at the ground. "Yes, of course. Where do you live?" He looked up at her and Camri tensed as he made urgent eye contact with her. "What exactly happened to him?"

I should have brought Sol. I'm not good at this bedside manner thing.

"Coppers. They, uh, ambushed me and Sydny. But they first cut him and... yeah. He says that they reopened that old scar on his chest." She coughed. "We should get going. I don't want to be out and about at night."

Camri turned tail and ran down the street, going back the way to her house. Then, she stopped as she reached the end and looked back at Will. "You'll have to keep up. I prefer to sprint."

[Anwen]

"Coppers. They, uh, ambushed me and Sydny. But they first cut him and... yeah. He says that they reopened that old scar on his chest." The girl coughed. "We should get going. I don't want to be out and about at night." Will's suspicions were affirmed. The Coppers were about again. And re-opened that scar on his chest! Sydny was going to be in bed awhile...
Will started when the Blonde ran off down the street. When she reached the corner she called back. "You'll have to keep up. I prefer to sprint."

"Fine by me!" Will called back as he sprinted up to her and they continued running. "You know, you still haven't told me your name."

[Lithium]

Camri
"Camri!" she shouted behind her as she ran. "My name is Camri."

She turned a sharp corner, nearly tripped, but threw her hand out to steady herself and kept going.

Finally, she reached the apartment and looked at Will behind her. She was breathing a bit heavier, but not by much.

"Come on up." She motioned for him to follow, then raced up the steps, down the hallway and into their apartment. Pulling out the key, she unlocked the door and invited him in.

"Sydny! I'm home!" she called out.

[Cytherea]

"Sydny! I'm home!"Sydny lazily opened an eye. He shut it again, but heard someone coming into the room, so forced both of them open. He yawned, trying to stay awake. He was going to reply to whoever was calling, but his throat was too hoarse. He grabbed the cup of water Sol had given him and drank some, slowly.
Suddenly he spluttered and coughed and spit the vile liquid out.
"Preserve my life, God Almighty!" he said in a wheezing cough. "But that is the worst water in the world!"
He coughed more, and then looked at the cup.
Immediately, he burst out into laughter. He laughed and laughed so hard he started to cry. Camri burst into the room, alarmed, but Sydny couldn't get a hold of himself.
He realized he had accidentally grabbed an open bottle of perfume instead of the nearby cup of clean water, and now he smelled of roses.

[Lithium]

Camri
"Oh my gosh. You did not just––" Camri stared at the open bottle of perfume and started laughing. "It's just one thing after another with you!"

She took a seat in the chair next to Sydny, took hold of one of his hands and turned to Will. "Is he always making a fool of himself?"

[Anwen]

Will followed Camri into the room in time to hear Sydny's ejaculations and to smell the perfume. Will was chuckling as Camri sat down and, laughing, she asked "Is he always making a fool of himself?"

"Yep. Sydny is always good for a laugh." Then, quietly, to himself, "most of the time anyway."

He turned to Sydny. "So, Puck, seems your confined to bed for a while huh." He smiled. "You're going to entertain your host; and well I know it." After all I did patch him up last time he got himself cut up badly.
