Aria stared daggers into Hook as he sauntered off. I am nobody's slave. I escaped slavery once. What's to stop me doing it again? As soon as I'm worth selling, I'll be well enough to get away.
She allowed the crew member to tie her hands and rebind her wound. Then she was sent down to where the other girl was.
"Hey. Name's Aria. What possessed you to fly up to a sky-pirate ship?"

Lizzy looked up from where she was eating an apple that she found in one of the barrels. "My name is Elizabeth. To answer your question I came up here to see who's ship this was. What got you captured? With how dumb this guy is and how fast you are he shouldn't have gotten close to capturing you."

"Eh. This was the second time today that he's tried. I surrendered to him because I would have lost too much blood or possibly my wing if I had tried to get away. I was wounded a few days ago."
Aria stepped through her bound arms to get them in front of her. Than she used her sharp teeth to slice through the rope. She purred in satisfaction. "If there's one thing you never tie up, Hook, it's me."

Conner:
Aria had set Conner down on the ground and flew off. That was all Conner remembered before his mind slipped into darkness.
"Conner, HELP!"
A voice filled Conner's dark, confused mind.
"Help me, please!" That voice, Conner thought, it's Gage's.
"G-Gage?!" Conner yelled into the never ending blackness. One minute, five minutes, silence. Alarm and panic surged through his body at the thought that his brother was gone...again. "Gage, where are you? Let me help you!"
"No, Conner. It's too late."
Suddenly everything went from black to that terrifying night so long ago. Vivid images flashed of drunken pirates, Conner being bashed on the head, and Gage being carried of. Gage looked up, tears streaming down his grimy face. "It's too late, Conner."
"NO!" Conner yelled, reality flooding back to him. He was exactly where Aria had left him and Hook's ship still loomed overhead. His head throbbed but Gage's pleading voice still rung in Conner's ears. The blond-haired boy buried his head in his hands and chocked back a sob.
"I'm sorry, Gage." he whispered.

Jack
As soon as Jack saw Liz get caught he turned to Kyle and said, "Kyle, what do you think we should do? We need to get Liz back and we have no way to get up there." If anybody can think of a good plan to help Liz out, it's Kyle, he thought. But if he doesn't have a plan than I'll have one ready just in case.

As soon as Gil saw Lizzy get captured, he set to work. Checking his pockets, Gil pulled out various bits of wire and metal, along with travel-sized wire-cutters and other supplies. He set to work, bending a wire here, welding some metal there (Futuristic of course, with tiny, highly fast and efficient tools), until he had something the size and shape of a lumpy doughnut.
After looking back up into the sky to check if the ship was still there, Gil set to work on the other half of his project, desperately hoping that this would work, and never noticing what was being said around him.

(Sorry it's been so long!)
Matty "Oh, I hardly remember... It feels so long ago... I remember something about..." He squinted his eyes in thought and stopped working on the firearm in front of him. "A guy trying to take you and then I was injected... I think you were injected before me, right? Or..."
He felt so frustrated. His memory was incredibly fuzzy.
Siren
Siren sighed again and shook her head before pushing herself back into her work. She nearly forgot about that boy and her brother and her desire to get out of this crummy little town as soon as possible.
Maya
"Well, I'm going to head to my work, see if they need any help. Just go ahead back to the house and make yourself comfortable. Trey should be back by 4 or 5 to start on dinner. Ash, probably sooner, but you won't see much of him."
She smiled. "Have a nice day, Julvely." She strolled out of the building, one hand on her arched back, supporting the weight of another human life.

Cassandra
"I was stabbed with that jabber first." Cassandra exhaled sharply. "I went out to look for you... I was really sick, but my new... abilities, I guess, were already kicking in. I found you unconscious. I-" She blushed, remembering giving him CPR. "You eventually woke up. Missy was there too, but I don't know what happened to her." she frowned. "After you attacked Mr. Elcarnin."
Julvely
Julvely swung her arms as she walked back to her new, temporary home. She flipped her deep, green-blue hair and then pushed a few strands from her face.
When she reached the Palmer-Stones house, she walked inside, not knowing how many kids to expect. Was Kelse still here?
"Well, if not, I can probably a find a book somewhere to read..." she murmured to herself. "Hello?" she called into the house. "Anybody home?"

Kelse
Kelsey's head popped out from the top of the stairs. "Julvie?" She peeked around the corner and, seeing her new roommate, launched herself down the stairs.
"It's you! I'll show you to our room. Ash, Trey and Brad share a room, so you can share a room with my mommy and me. I hope you like it. You can have the little bed. I can sleep with mommy in the bigger bed so you can have a bed to yourself."
She grabbed her hand and tugged on her as she made her way up the stairs.
Matty
Matty scratched his head, his frustration dissipating. "I attacked Mr. Elcarin? That would explain a lot..."

Julvely
Julvely smiled and followed Kelsey up the stairs. She was so boisterous! So light, so playful; the pressures of the world hadn't closed in around her like an overwhelming darkness, blocking out hope and trapping in despair. But... was that true? When she mentioned her father earlier, it was quite clear that she was disturbed about what had happened to him. Julvely wished she could find out, but she decided to let Maya answer her unspoken questions when Maya chose to do so.
"Do you like your bedroom?" Julvely asked Kelsey as they reached the top of the stairs.
Cassandra
Cassandra laughed lightly, as much as the situation could afford.
"Yeah..." she looked down at the device she was holding. She turned her head when Abner told her the connection was going to fail, and her heart-rate sped up.
"Matty." she rushed his name, her eyes wide. She wanted to reach for his hand, but she knew she couldn't. "I can't-"
She felt herself blur, and her essence start to leave.
"My connection's dying." She felt as if a strong wind was yanking her away, trying to rip her from Matthew's presence. She didn't want to go. "I'm sorry, I-"
Suddenly, she lost sight of his face and her skin felt cold and clammy. The device clattered to the floor, and she lowered herself slowly to the ground, shaking.
She'd lost him. Again.

Kyle
"I-I- don't know." Kyle stuttered. "You should have a plan, you always have a backup plan."
"Well, we could find a way to get up there like by one of those short range teleporters that we made over by the 'Fort'. We could also use that ultralight in the 'Cave'." Jack replied.
"Well, I don't think we will have enough time to get the teleporters powered up in time and because you broke the ultralight, we can't use that."
"We could shoot down the ship."
"If that was an option, wouldn't you of thought that I would of already suggested that?" Kyle said frustrated.
"Well, we better think of something fast or else she will be long gone and we won't be able to do anything about it." Bethany said adding to the frustration. Than they looked over to where Gillian was and were intrigued in what he was making.
Jack finally broke the silence after a couple minutes of watching, "What are you making there Gillian? Do you have an idea?"

Gil heard someone say his name. He didn't look up. "Jack, who has the best throwing arm?" He asked as he held out the lumpy metal doughnut to him. "Or do I need a launcher too?" he added wryly, finishing the control. "It won't track very well if it isn't attached to something."
|

Post by Brock on Jan 21, 2014 23:14:03 GMT -8
"Is that a tracking device?" Jack asked.
"Of course it is!" Kyle said, "I was just about to suggest that."
"I would think I would have the best throwing arm but it may be too far for me to throw," Jack said, "Is there a way for it to attach on to the hull of the ship?"

Finally looking up, Gil replied, "Oh, yeah, it ought to attach on contact. The chameleon circuit and cloaking should kick in immediately after that. If we need a launcher though..." He trailed off, looking around for supplies. "I'll need to modify a firearm though."

"I have one." Jack said, "It's not a fire arm though, it's an old 225 pound crossbow that should work. I'll crank it up for you. Be careful of the trigger, it's really sensitive." He than got the compact able crossbow out of his bridal sack, cranked it up, locked the trigger, and handed it to Gillian.
"If you don't want to fire it, I have a good aim." Kyle boasted.
"We've seen how well your aim is." Bethany sneered, "You couldn't hit a target from five feet away with the bow or crossbow."
|

"I don't want to fire it." Gil replied as he began attaching the device as well as possible to the bolt. "I am not experienced with this weapon, and I believe it would be better if someone with a very good aim used it." Gil looked up. "Now, if you couldn't choose yourself, who would be the best person fire it?"

"I would think," Jack said looking around at the party and laying eyes on Anthony who was in the outside ring of the circle. "It would have to be Anthony over there. Anthony, we need you to fire this for us." (Anthony was a giant. Standing at 7'11" he was Very tall and was stronger than a bull. He had his own bow that had a draw of 750 pounds.)
Anthony walked up and stood looming over Gillian. "What do you need me to do?" Anthony asked in a very low and gruff voice.

Lizzy
Lizzy saw Aerial easily cut through her bonds. "You want an apple? Don't try to break through the door by the way, it's hard mahogany and steel and not to mention electrified." Elisabeth finished her apple, threw it over in the corner, and got out two more. "At least they provide food with the kidnapping." She then bit into her next apple.

Kelsey
Her eyes almost disappeared as she smiled, showing her tiny white teeth. "I love it! I don't mind sharing with Momma. It'll be cool having three girls in the same room, since the boys share a room. They hate it, but I think we'll like it. Well... Trey and Brad don't hate it, but Ash does. Ash is a stink."
Matty
She was gone.
She had been here–– then had slipped through his fingers.
He slammed his fist against the table, leaving a slight indent in the metal.
He hadn't even gotten to say good-bye.
Or that... I love her.
Ash
Stupid brother. Stupid town. Stupid rules, he stormed as he skulked down an alleyway. Screw what Trey wants. He doesn't own me. I own me.

Julvely
Julvely laughed suddenly at Kelsey's words.
"A stink? Are you sure? He is your brother, after all. And so, I guess you'd know best, huh?"
Julvely pushed an annoying strand of greenish blue hair from her face. She looked at Kelsey closely, smiling as she made her complete evaluation.
She's an extremely good sort of girl. So... so caring! So affectionate to her mother, and, even if in a different way, her brothers.
Cassandra
And now. This was where life deposited her. Reality sunk in as she saw Abner lounging on the couch, and heard the constant whirring of the motor that she had successfully blocked out for some time.
"Well isn't this just fine." she said angrily. She threw the ball at Abner, fully expecting him to catch it (which, of course, he did. In the head.) "Oh, sorry." she said in a light mocking tone. "Sorry to be the source of any pain for you."
She stormed out of the room, and her zombies were obediently waiting outside for her.
"Of course you'd be here." she breathed sharply.
Hazel
Hazel stomped down the alley-way with her hands shoved into her pockets. Life was so unfair. Now she had a stupid sky prince who thought she was something to be trifled with until he lost interest. A source of amusement for him.
"Ha!" she laughed harshly. "What a jerk. What a jerk I am for actually going to the ball with him..." she groaned, placing a hand on her forehead as she did so. "I guess I'll just trifle with him a bit. Force his own medicine down his throat."
Angrily she kicked a forlorn piece of tin before slumping onto the ground.
"What am I even doing? What am I doing here, for goodness sake! I should look for my family..." she shut her eyes, thinking about her beloved family who she hadn't seen for too long. "Life's a huge joke, tricking you and then laughing in your face." she spat vehemently. "And it's still giggling with pleasure at this awful place I'm in. A crazy hooligan as chief of this crummy joint, a sky-princess as his boring fiancee, and a stubborn oaf with green hair, shall find great delight in watching me stumble."

Looking over Anthony appraisingly, Gillean nodded his head approvingly. "Good. Very good. Anthony, would you please get this tracking device onto that ship somehow? You look as though you could just throw it!"
"Thanks for the warning." Aria replied. "What should I call you? Beth? Liza? Elizabeth is way too long..."

Anthony
"That would be easy to do." Taking the tracking device out of Gillian's hand he got a good throwing stance, made sure of where he was aiming, and threw the tracker faster than Jack's crossbow could shoot. The tracker whizzed through the air heading straight towards the hull and slamming against the hard metal. "Does that work?"
Lizzy
"My friends call me Lizzy. I think I prefer Lizzy to Elizabeth." Lizzy replied to Aria. "What do you prefer?"

Conner:
Conner groaned and rubbed his head. That dream...Gage...Conner tried to push those visions out of his mind. Patting himself down, Conner was relieved to find that no bones where broken. He also checked his leather bag and belt. Everything was there, surprisingly enough, except for the bullets he had used firing at Aria. Aria! Conner's blue eyes scanned the area. What had happened to her? He faintly remembered her setting him down but everything went fuzzy. Maybe she left...it wasn't like she had to stay around. But Conner had a sinking feeling inside him that something was wrong. Plus, Captain Hook's ship was still hovering above near the Ports. That couldn't be good news.
"It's my fault. She came back to save me. I should find her and make sure she's alright." Conner sighed to himself, as he began walking nowhere in particular.
Conner stopped in his tracks. Voices. Who on earth is hanging out in the middle of nowhere? As Conner crept forward, he noticed a small group of people. Much to his disappointment Aria was not one of them. They seemed to be deep in discussion, continually looking up. Conner strained his ears to hear more. He was already dangerously close and he had no idea what their intentions were. But Conner wrapped his fingers around one of his ion pistols and slowly made his way closer.

"That was... wow. Very, very nice Anthony. That will work." Gillean looked back down at the remote, working on hiding the tracker with a cloak for sensors, and the chameleon circuit for casual observers. "By the way guys," he began without looking up, "we have a visitor."
"Lizzy, Lizzy will do fine. I can work with Lizzy." She heard a thump. Looking out the fist-sized window, Aria was just in time to see something disappear into the ship's exterior.
Using her enhanced hearing (enhanced by the fact that she is both eagle and cat), she listened for who may have done it. First she heard Connor.
"It's my fault. She came back to save me. I should find her and make sure she's alright." That's sweet of him...
"That was... wow. Very, very nice Anthony. That will work. By the way guys, we have a visitor."
Who is that?

Being the first to turn around, Jack pulled out his pistol and aimed it at the newcomer.
"Who are you! What are you doing here!" Kyle snapped taking the position of a commander.
"Gillian, do you know him?" Jack asked without taking his eyes and aim off the man.
