"Goodbye, Aria." Conner's voice whispered with the wind as she flew away. She could hear the smile in his voice, and heard the suppressed merriment in his next words."I'm sorry, Captain. Did you call?"
"How could you just let her fly away after I gave you a DIRECT COMMAND to catch that I.S. and you disobeyed me." Aria could hear the anger and disbelief in Hook's voice. "You do know what's coming now? Because you should, you've been on this ship for how long now? And you should know better then to disobey me."
I guess it would have been better to keep to OnNa after all. Aria considered the idea. Then he wouldn't be losing his job.
She could have slapped herself. You just can't keep away from the icy quiet ones can you Aria! It's been how long since I cared about someone? and never someone outside the family. And now, twice in one day, she had gone and had conversations with guys she didn't know.
"This has got to be one of the craziest days I've had in the longest time!" she told herself.

Hook's booming voice rung through Conner's ears.
"How could you just let her fly away after I gave you a DIRECT COMMAND to catch that I.S. and you disobeyed me.You do know what's coming now? Because you should, you've been on this ship for how long now? And you should know better then to disobey me."
"Yes, Captain." Conner said with a stiff voice. "You're right. Will I be getting off at the next stop then or...?"

"NO!" Edward shouted, "You're going to go after that I.S., catch her, and bring her back to me. Do you understand?" Hook was starting to calm down, otherwise he would of thrown Conner off his ship right then and there.

"NO!" Shouted Cap'n Hook, "You're going to go after that I.S., catch her, and bring her back to me. Do you understand?"
Would this guy, this Conner, try to catch her again after letting her go? Aria wondered. Maybe I should go back to Ambia- What was I thinking! I'm not going back until I find out how this plays out.

Conner stepped away from the Captain, his body tensing.
"I can't do that. Capturing I.S's...capturing people is not what I signed up for." Conner stopped, his icy cold eyes narrowing down on Hook.
This is it, I'm off this ship for good after saying that. There is no way I could redeem myself now...

Furious, Hook picked up Conner and threw him over the edge of the ship. Because he was so enraged he didn't notice that he was throwing Conner over the wrong side of the ship. Down Conner fell, and Edward just walked back into his cabin to get the "sailor wanted" sign out of his closet.

Aria was stunned. Firstly, she rarely heard humans call I.S's people. Secondly, why would a pirate refuse to capture anyone?
She heard sounds of a struggle, and then a single pair of footsteps walking away. Connor's heart-beat was getting farther and farther away...
He was falling!
She was diving before she knew it. She went after him like a streak of lightning past the ship, sending it rocking slightly. She came up to him, and grabbed him around his chest. She began to slow their descent by extending her long, shining, golden wings.
"Surprise." She said in his ear.

It was obvious Hook was enraged by Conner's response. The Captain came and literally picked up Conner. Although the boy struggled, he knew Edward's strength exceeded his own. Suddenly, Captain Hook released his grasp on Conner and he felt himself falling. He could see the clouds spinning about him and his eyes went icy cold with fear.
Was this the end?
There was a strong gust of wind. Conner's eyes slowly closed to prepare himself for what was to come. Suddenly, someone's arms wrapped around Conner's chest. He wasn't falling anymore but gliding downward with the help of...Aria! Looking upward, Conner could see those beautiful golden wings against the sun. It was really quite dazzling.
"Surprise." Aria said.
"I've never been so happy to see someone again in my life," Conner said, his voice full of honesty. "Thank you."

Aria wasn't sure what to do with a 'thank you.' She hadn't been given such a genuine thanks before.
This is definitely a crazy day.
She felt a pain in her side as the wound from the other day began complaining about the extra load.
"Hey, ummm, we might have a slightly rough landing." Aria told Conner.
