Jason caught sight of a large booth as they passed by. He smiled.

"I've got it!" he said quickly. "How would you like to go to a ball?"

Jason smiled at all her questions.
"It's on..." Jason walked to the booth and took one of the fliers. He read it and his eyebrows shot up. "It's on my birthday; Valentines Day." he looked up at her. "We'd definitely manage to make it here, and I think... hmm. What color do you like?"

"Purple," Cheiko said quickly, before she said, "If you don't mind. I like just about any color. Valentine's day..." She paused and her smile softened before she looked up at him and said, "That'll be perfect, don't you think?"

"For the ball, yes. For my birthday, no. It's crazy to have your birthday on Valentine's Day." he ran his fingers through his hair. "Purple is just the right color. Suits the guy and the girl without embarrassing either."
Jason quickly bought two tickets.
"You want to hang onto yours, or do you want me to just bring them both when it's time?"

She turned and glanced around the street. "Why don't we go clothes shopping for this ball? We've got to be up on their fashions right? Got to blend in."

Jason laughed before taking her hand in his.
"Exactly. Let's go to... that one." he pointed towards a huge building that obviously was selling clothes. Unbelievably fancy (and expensive) dresses hung in the windows, and other formal attire. "Let's just hope everything in there doesn't cost half of the expenses of the machine we used to get here."

Cheiko laughed. "No kidding. Matty would kill me if I spent an enormous amount of money on clothes. I mean... more than I normally do." She giggled and then walked up to the shop nearby, that had evening gowns and men's suits and tuxedos on mannequins in the window.
"So, do you want to split up and shop, or..?"

"We could do either." Jason replied easily with a smile. "If we split up, though, we'd have to keep tabs on where the other one was." he surveyed the outside of the store. It seemed to stretch sky-high. "This place is pretty massive."

"A second opinion should always be open, in my mind." he gently took her hand and gave it a slight squeeze. "Now! For the fun and time-consuming part! Shall we," he bowed slightly. "shop?"
