Cam used to have dirty blonde hair. After running away from Mr. Craw, he colored it a deep copper/brown shade. It glints a deep red in the sunlight and always has that messy, “just got out of bed” style. His eyes are an intense grey, just like Conner's, but they have more of a merry twinkle to in them. His eyebrows are thick and his nose straight. There is a small scar which runs right below his left eyebrow. He received that when he absentmindedly walked right into the corner of a building. Although Cameron hides a lot of pain inside, he mouth is always curled up in a mischievous grin. His smile is friendly and inviting. He is tall and muscular. Cameron has a runner’s body and is very quick on his feet. He is quite handsome. Cameron and Conner are not identical twins, although they share a lot of the same features, such as body type, their cloudy like eyes, and the same deep voice. But their facial structures are very different which makes it easy to tell them apart.
On Cameron’s back there are various scars, which he received from Mr. Craw’s infamous lashings. On his right wrist there are two small black tattoos which say “s k y p o r t “and right below, in smaller letters “a q u i a s”. That is his reminder of where he came from, before he was kidnapped.
Cameron’s typical attire consists of a black t-shirt and a brown leather jacket. He usually wears dark blue jeans and always folds them up at the bottom, just above his black boots. On his wrists he wears a watch as well as an unusual assortment of leather and beaded bracelets. Cameron also always carries a pistol.
Personality:
Most of the time Cameron is easy-going and laidback. He is quite the opposite of his twin brother. Unlike Conner, Cam enjoys talking with just about anyone and appears to be very open. But Cam is good at hiding secrets. He never shares about his past, about Conner, or his years under Mr. Craw. Those are too painful for him to bring up and to remember. For anyone that asks, Conner just tells them he’s an orphan and has lived in the Badlands since birth. He has a habit of cracking his knuckles when he lies like that. Just like his brother, Cameron hasn’t found anyone he felt he could trust with any of his personal life.
Cameron is an adventurer and spends a lot of his time in the Badlands going from place to place. Despite his friendliness, Cameron has a bad reputation for stirring up trouble. He despised being criticized or looked down upon and he’s not afraid to lash out at anyone who dares mess with him. Usually it ends up in a brawl and being pulled apart by the authorities. He tends to jump into messy situations without thoroughly thinking through his decisions. He's a hard worker but he tends to ignore rules and just do what he wants.
History:
Cameron remembers walking with his brother that dark night, which was so long ago. They were laughing and joking around, the way twelve year old boys always do. As they walked in front of some kind of rowdy looking bar, a group of drunk sailors came out. They corned Cameron and his brother and the next few minutes of his life were a blur. Cam guessed he must have been knocked out because he was on a unfamiliar ship when he woke up. After finding out the ship had left the ports, Cameron was forced to stay with the crew he had been kidnapped onto. Being stuck on that ship was pure torture to a boy who loved the open space of the great outdoors and loved to run around and go anywhere he pleased. But most of all, Cameron wanted to be back with Conner. Although Cameron had always been the adventurer of the two, Conner was the reassuring, calm one. Conner could always talk sense into Cam's cluttered thoughts and help him calm down. Now Cam was alone, lost, and surrounded by strangers. He has no idea if Conner had been kidnapped, made it out alive, or if he was even alive at all.
It wasn't long before Conner was sold to some rancher in the Badlands. At first he hated the place. Too much sand and the hot sun was always beating down on him. His master was harsh and had whipped Cameron more than once. It was the kind of awful pain you never forget and haunts you in your dreams. Finally, around the age of sixteen, Cam decided he was done with this life. So, in the dark of the night, he left that ranch with one of Mr. Craw's (his master) horses. He knew people would be searching for him when he didn't show up the next day. That's when we colored his hair and began using Cameron as his first name. Cameron didn't want to risk being caught after running away and stealing. Ever since then Cam just finds odd jobs here and there. He’s never left the Badlands.
